Who doesn’t know about Christopher Nolan? He is one of the finest and creative directors at present. However, what people might not know is that Christopher’s brother, Jonathan Nolan, is also a great director and writer. Both of them made their own names in the industry. But while it seems the world celebrates Christopher Nolan, Jonathan doesn’t get his due credit that much.

Although Jonathan has also achieved a lot of things on his end, he tends to keep himself away from the limelight. This is also one of the reasons why people haven’t noticed him the way they did Christopher. Many might not know that the brothers duo have worked together on many films, including Memento (2000), The Prestige (2006), The Dark Knight (2008), The Dark Knight Rises (2012) and Interstellar (2014).

Glen Powell is looking back at his small role in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises.
In his Vanity Fair profile for the Hollywood Issue, the Twisters actor reflected on scoring the small role in the Batman film that starred Christian Bale and Tom Hardy.
“I remember everything. You never forget the feeling. It’s something I carry to every set I walk on now, which is just the reverence for being on a set in general. But I remember on Dark Knight Rises the feeling of being able to walk onto a set and you knew everybody in the world wanted to be on that set, right?”
He went on to explain that despite his role as a stock trader being minor, he “auditioned several times for it.”

There’s no question why Glen Powell is one of the most in-demand actors today – he’s got the looks, the talent, and an entirely diverse filmography even though he’s just at the beginning of his career. Not only is he bringing back the nostalgic Hollywood leading man vibe but he’s also open to projects that push his limits.

Recently, a rumor shocked netizens after it claimed Powell will be replacing Tom Cruise as the next Mission: Impossible lead. Well, this isn’t too far-fetched as the young star has action movie credits under his belt and they have also worked together in the past.

Released in 2008, The Dark Knight remains one of the greatest superhero films of all time. With Christopher Nolan’s visionary direction, a talented cast, and an unforgettable storyline, the film has proven that comic book movies can tackle real-world themes, even with their fantastical settings.
Among the film’s standout elements, Heath Ledger’s Joker is often the focus of discussions. Ledger’s performance brought a chilling depth to the character, earning him a posthumous Oscar and solidifying his portrayal as a fan favorite.
Though widely considered the best Joker, the character was notably absent from the 2012 sequel, The Dark Knight Rises. Given Ledger’s passing, this was understandable, but the character wasn’t even referenced in the film. Now, a recently released novel finally reveals what happened to the Joker during The Dark Knight Rises.
It’s known that the Joker survived the events of The Dark Knight and was sent to Arkham Asylum.

Released in 2008, The Dark Knight is still considered to be the best superhero movie of all time. Combining Christopher Nolan’s majestic direction with a brilliant cast and phenomenal story, The Dark Knight has endured the test of time, showing that comic book movies can be relevant and important for the real world despite their often fantastical setting.
And while there are numerous aspects we could analyze in relation to this movie, Heath Ledger’s Joker is most often at the center of these discussions, and for a good reason. The character was portrayed amazingly, and while it resulted in a tragedy for Ledger, it also earned him a posthumous Oscar for the role, which says it all.
For many, the best Joker ever, the character was notoriously absent from the 2012 sequel, The Dark Knight Rises, which made sense, seeing how Ledger was dead, but the character wasn’t even mentioned.

The dream of every geek, comic book, and superhero movie fan is pretty much to have a collection of items straight out of fiction. And with Batman, that’s no different. The thing is, Bruce Wayne owns some pretty over-the-top stuff in his universe, and those fans who really value exclusive and authentic items might find it a bit tough on the wallet.

A great example of this is the Batmobile, which has just gone on sale, costing practically what only Batman himself could afford. The surprise came with the car’s incredible attention to detail, as well as how true it stays to the hero’s iconic ride. However, even though it’s a relic, there are limits — showing it off in public is one of them.

Christopher Nolan’s 2026 movie brings Anne Hathaway and Zendaya on board, joining Tom Holland and Matt Damon.
Christopher Nolan’s 2026 movie is set to go before cameras early next year, and as it stands, we still have no idea what to expect. Well, that’s not exactly right. We have plenty of ideas, thanks to the ceaseless turning of the rumour mill, but we have no confirmed details apart from casting. However, the list of names involved with Nolan’s next film continues to grow, with a fresh announcement (via Deadline) revealing that Anne Hathaway and Zendaya will be joining the already-announced Matt Damon and Tom Holland.
That’s quite an ensemble already, and should it follow in the usual mould of Nolan projects, more big names will surely follow.
Like Damon, Hathaway is a returning player for Nolan, having collaborated with him previously on Interstellar and The Dark Knight Rises.

Venom: The Last Dance may not have made as big a splash at the box office as the previous movies in the franchise, but the final part of Sony Pictures' trilogy is proving difficult to knock off the top spot.
The Last Dance took in $16.2 million from 3,905 North American theaters, which was enough to fend off competition from A24’s horror thriller Heretic and Lionsgate’s family friendly The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.
The studio's latest Ssu movie - which sits at 41% on Rotten Tomatoes - has now grossed $279.4 million overseas and $394.2 million globally on a relatively modest budget of $120 million.
This might well be the last Venom movie, but a recent rumor claimed that Sony is developing an Agent Venom film.
In the comics, Agent Venom was Peter Parker's former bully turned friend Eugene "Flash" Thompson, who bonded with the Venom Symbiote after losing his legs in service of his country.

Considering how Christopher Nolan is one of the greatest filmmakers of all time, his upcoming projects are always at the center of media attention. This is now the case with his upcoming project, a film we sadly know very little about. After Oppenheimer, Nolan will soon start working on a new project that will premiere in 2026.
And while we know nothing about the movie, we know a lot of the cast members, as Matt Damon, his frequent collaborator, and Tom Holland have already signed up for the movie. In light of that, we have some new casting updates that will certainly make a lot of the fans happy.
Namely, as per a new report by Deadline, two major female stars have signed up for the project. One of them is a former collaborator of Nolan, while the other one is an actress whose inclusion in the project will certainly be of interest to many fans.

Zendaya and Anne Hathaway are joining Christopher Nolan’s next movie at Universal, with Tom Holland and Matt Damon already confirmed in the cast.
Nolan is writing and directing the movie, which will hit theaters and Imax on July 17, 2026. Details about the story are still under wraps, and Universal had no comment on the casting.
This film marks a reunion for Hathaway and Nolan, who worked together on the 2014 space film Interstellar and 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises. Earlier this year, Hathaway shared how grateful she was for Nolan casting her in Interstellar during a time when she faced online backlash after her Oscar win for Les Misérables.
“Many people wouldn’t hire me because of how toxic my image was online,” Hathaway told Vanity Fair. “But Christopher Nolan didn’t care and gave me one of the best roles I’ve had … My career stayed on track thanks to him.

Christopher Nolan will direct a movie with some of Hollywood’s most sought-after actors and actresses. Universal Pictures said that Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon, and Tom Holland will be in the director’s next movie, which will come out in IMAX on July 17, 2026.
This is Nolan’s second project with Universal Pictures. His first was the highly acclaimed “Oppenheimer,” which won him his first Best Director Oscar earlier this year. While story details are being kept secret, the project will be made under Nolan’s Syncopy banner, with Emma Thomas in charge of production.
Hathaway is working with Nolan again after working with him on “The Dark Knight Rises” and “Interstellar.” The actress who won an Oscar most recently worked on the Amazon love comedy “The Idea of You” and the thriller “Mothers’ Instinct.”

When one is preparing to watch a Christopher Nolan film, one need not worry about anything. Be it the cinematography, the visual effects, and even the action, everything is going to be crisp and perfect. However, one aspect of his productions has been especially praised over the years: his casting.

The director is known for hiring the best the industry has to offer, even if they haven’t made a name for themselves yet. Famously building careers for certain actors or starring with already established legends, there is a reason why his films created a new standard for cinema.
With this, his incoming project seems to be getting more and more interesting as its cast gets revealed.

Casting announcements for a new Christopher Nolan movie are like the years in Smash Mouth's 'All Star' — they start coming and they don't stop coming. And having seemingly outdone himself with the stacked ensemble of his Best Picture winner Oppenheimer last year, the British filmmaker is already looking to increase the star power wattage with his latest effort. After already setting Tom Holland and Matt Damon to lead his as-yet-untitled new Universal movie in recent weeks, today Deadline are reporting that Nolan has just added two more heavyweights to his next movie's call sheet — Zendaya and Anne Hathaway.
Who exactly Zendaya and Hathaway will play in the movie — or Holland, or Damon for that matter — remains, like the film itself's plot, a mystery at this point. Not that that's stopped folk having a stab at guessing what Nolan's cooking up anyway, though. It's hardly been a month since we first...

Anytime Christopher Nolan announces a new project, you know it will become one of Hollywood’s most anticipated events. After blowing minds with last year’s Oppenheimer, Nolan shows no signs of slowing down as he barrels toward his next feature with an impressive cast of greats along for the ride. According to Deadline, Zendaya and Anne Hathaway are joining Matt Damon and Tom Holland for Christopher Nolan’s next epic, releasing in theaters on July 17, 2026. Cameras should roll in early 2025, though plot details remain a mystery.
There have been plenty of rumors about this project, but only a few details. According to new reports, whispers of it being a “father-and-son” story are false. It will almost certainly be a big production, as the director has previously stated that he has no intention of returning to small-scale movies, not while he can still convince studios to give him whatever he wants.

Exclusive: Christopher Nolan isn’t done adding some serious star power to his next film at Universal. Sources tell Deadline that Anne Hathaway and Zendaya are set to star in his next event film. They would join previously announced cast members Matt Damon and Tom Holland.
The film will have an Imax release on July 17, 2026. The date falls in line with a number of Nolan films that have had similar release dates in the past.
Universal had no comment on the latest castings.
The movie is expected to start shooting in early 2025, but sources note that loglines or descriptions of the film that have been published to date are wrong, and details are being kept under wraps.

Christian Bale explains why he turned down a fourth Batman movie to respect Nolan’s vision (Photo Credit – Facebook)
He boldly moved when Christian Bale hung up his cape after The Dark Knight Rises. He turned down a fourth Batman film pitched by Warner Bros., sticking to Christopher Nolan’s vision for the trilogy. “Let’s not stretch too far and become overindulgent,” he declared, and honestly, who could argue with that?
The Dark Knight trilogy was no ordinary collection. It redefined what comic book movies could be, raking in $2.4B worldwide. Bale’s portrayal of Bruce Wayne/Batman was phenomenal, and each film built on the last like a perfectly constructed Gotham skyscraper. The final movie left audiences with a poignant image: Bruce Wayne chilling in Florence with Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway). A killer way to exit, right? But hold on—studios weren’t ready to let their golden goose fly away.

Hayden Christensen is going to have to use more than the force if he’s going to be part of a championship NASCAR team. But he’s giving it a go, leading a promotional video for the new Darth Vader-inspired Star Wars car and helmet for NASCAR. Check out the car:
For the design, Doug Chiang, an executive designer at Lucasfilm, had to figure out how to incorporate Darth Vader – and, thus, the Dark Side – into the vehicle’s scheme, which would then be complemented by the Star Wars title on the hood of the NASCAR . As for his love of both Star Wars and Hayden Christensen, Chiang said, “I just love Hayden. I love his character and I love what he brings to it, and so I’m hoping that this design will pay respect to both Hayden and Vader.” You can check out the promo video below:...

Sony Pictures made it clear that Venom: The Last Dance would be the final part of a trilogy, and while the movie did appear to wrap-up Eddie Brock and his Symbiote pal's story, we may now know how the studio is planning to keep the franchise going.
According to scooper Daniel Richtman, an Agent Venom movie is in development.
In the comics, Agent Venom was Peter Parker's former bully turned friend Eugene "Flash" Thompson, who bonded with the Venom Symbiote after losing his legs in service of his country. Tony Revolori currently plays Flash in the Spider-Man movies, but The Last Dance may have given us some idea of how Sony intends to introduce a whole new take on the character.
If you haven't seen Venom: The Last Dance yet, be warned of major spoilers from this point on.

Exclusive: Amid a surfeit of horror projects heading to next week’s American Film Market, here instead comes a legit blue chip crime-drama-thriller in the shape of James Gray’s next movie, Paper Tiger, which will star Oscar nominee Adam Driver, Emmy and Tony winner Jeremy Strong and Oscar winner Anne Hathaway.
This is the type of project buyers we’ve spoken to this week have been crying out for. Something elevated. Five of Gray’s films have competed for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
Based on Gray’s original screenplay, the story is set to follow two brothers who pursue the American Dream—only to become entangled in a scheme that turns out to be too good to be true. As they try to navigate their way through an ever-more dangerous world of corruption and violence, they find themselves and their family brutally terrorized by the Russian “Mafiya.

Sony Pictures has released a new TV spot for Venom: The Last Dance, and it gives us a first official look at the team of Symbiotes that assembles towards the end of the movie to battle the Xenophage.
Though some of these Symbiotes are named - Juno Temple's Doctor Payne becomes Agony, for example - others seem to be amalgamations of characters from the comics, or possibly brand-new creations. One does definitely seem to be based on Toxin, however, and the final two appear to be versions of Phage and Lasher.
Check out the new teaser below.
The review embargo for The Last Dance lifted last week, and the critical consensus was not overly positive. Though some are referring to this final instalment in the franchise as the best of the trilogy, the movie held at 37% on Rotten Tomatoes for a while before rising to 39% based on 158 reviews.

Darren Aronofsky and Mark Heyman have worked together several times over the years. Heyman was Aronofsky’s assistant when he made The Fountain, then he was the co-producer on The Wrestler, a writer on Black Swan, and an executive producer on Mother! So now that Heyman is set to make his feature directorial debut with the horror film Pendulum, it’s good to see that Aronofsky is there to back him up, producing the film through his company Protozoa. A press release sent out today has also revealed that Joseph Gordon-Levitt of The Dark Knight Rises and Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F has signed on to star in the film, which is set to start filming in New Mexico next March.
Pendulum will tell the following story: Young couple Patrick (Gordon-Levitt) and Abigail journey to a new-age retreat in New Mexico, drawn by the possibility of healing after a traumatic event.

Why Christian Bale Avoids Watching The Dark Knight Rises: Emotional Struggles & Impact of His Iconic Role (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Christian Bale can’t watch The Dark Knight Rises anymore. Why? The tragic 2012 Aurora shooting hangs over this Batman finale, claiming twelve lives and forever altering Bale’s perspective.
“Sadly, I have not been able to watch that film since because of Aurora. I’ve been unable to sit down and see it without thinking of that,” Bale shared, revealing the emotional weight that made this superhero flick a strict watch for him.
July 20, 2012, turned into a legit horror flick. James Eagan Holmes crashed The Dark Knight Rises screening at the Century 16 in Aurora, unleashing tear gas and gunfire. The tragic tally? Twelve lives were lost, and seventy were injured. Chillingly, Holmes called himself “The Joker,” a dark twist on Bale’s masterful portrayal.

[This story contains spoilers for Venom: The Last Dance.]
Venom: The Last Dance stars Juno Temple and Tom Hardy were both a part of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises in 2012, but to say they passed like ships in the night would be an overstatement. They never interacted on set or at the New York City premiere, and that subplot makes the current handoff at the end of Kelly Marcel’s trilogy capper all the more interesting.
Temple plays Dr. Teddy Paine, a scientist who studies alien symbiotes inside a top-secret underground facility near Area 51. At 13, she lost her twin brother as both were struck by lightning, and so she’s now carrying out his dream of discovering lifeforms well beyond Earth. Eventually, Eddie Brock and Venom make their way to Dr. Paine’s Area 55 Imperium base, before a battle breaks out between the symbiotes and Xenophages. The latter creatures are working to retrieve...

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has emerged as one of the biggest movie franchises in the world and it boasts a roster filled with top-tier talent. However, things have been a little iffy based on the MCU’s latest releases and fans weren’t really pleased with the outcomes of movies like Eternals and a ton of other TV series that were supposed to lay the groundwork for the Multiverse saga.

So ends another comic book movie trilogy, but what is it about the number three that the genre can’t get right? Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy and Fox’s original X-Men saga both bowed out on bum notes, while Blade: Trinity staked the franchise dead. Even The Dark Knight Rises is the black sheep of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. It’s not that there haven’t been some great threequels, but Venom: The Last Dance is not the exception that proves the rule.
While there were once grand plans for Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, it feels like the Ssu is limping toward an inevitable end, like the Dceu releasing The Flash and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom simply because it had to. Although Ruben Fleischer’s Venom got the franchise off to a flying start in 2018, a little bit of our symbiote spirit has broken off with each entry.

Not Cillian Murphy! 2-Time Oscar Winning British Actor Has Appeared in Most Christopher Nolan Movies
Christopher Nolan and Cillian Murphy are synonyms of the Hollywood industry. One of the biggest directors of the 21st century and the Oscar-winning Irish star of modern cinema has an iconic partnership that goes beyond working together professionally. Nolan and Murphy have worked on some of the biggest projects such as Inception, Oppenheimer, Batman Begins, Dunkirk, and The Dark Knight Rises. While Murphy’s unbelievable acting performances in Nolan’s movies have been universally acclaimed, the Peaky Blinders star isn’t the one who has most appeared in Nolan movies.

The Reagan cops will say goodbye to fans in December 2024 after CBS announced the cancelation of Blue Bloods after 14 seasons. Tom Hardy is finally saying goodbye to his version of Venom in the last and latest entry in the franchise Venom: The Last Dance. The actor has played the role for six years, beginning with 2018’s Venom, and though the films themselves have received mixed reviews, Hardy and the symbiote’s relationship and performance have always been praised.
While the latest film is rated PG-13, Hardy mentioned that they did have ideas to make it R-rated and go all the way like Hugh Jackman’s final film (before his comeback this year) Logan. The actor mentioned that though he and director Kelly Marcel were down for the idea, they kept it PG-13 as the rest of the films were similarly rated.

Anne Hathaway’s Unforgettable Performance in Les Misérables (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Anne Hathaway‘s career split in two: before Les Misérables and after she destroyed the role of Fantine. In 2012, she chopped off her hair on camera, sang “I Dreamed a Dream,” and left everyone emotionally wrecked. The reward? An Oscar for Best Supporting Actress and a permanent spot in the “Yep, I Did That” club.
Fantine’s heartbreak was Hathaway’s game-changer, turning her into the film’s emotional core—and movie legend.

So… Venom: The Last Dance is out in theaters now. What seemed like an iconic trailer that could let the franchise die with a bang was nothing but a little poof of clouds and show.
Venom 3 is mindless fun (at times) | Credits: Sony Entertainment
The movie was so underwhelming that even our review team gave it a 4 (and they have seen their fair share of terrible movies). But, this same film has overperformed internationally and that, says more about the people than the film.
The Venom Franchise is a Rom-com!
The franchise began in 2018 when Tom Hardy portrayed the role of Eddie Brock in Venom. The series concluded when Eddie Brock and Venom part ways in Venom: The Last Dance. It’s a rom-com divided into three films, really.

Critics went wild, calling her performance “miraculous,” and honestly, can you blame them? Kym’s snarky comments and emotional rollercoaster make you laugh and cringe simultaneously. Christopher Nolan is being linked with umpteen different films at the moment – perhaps it’s best if we rule some of them out.
Speculation has been rife in the last few weeks as to just what Oscar-winning director Christopher Nolan’s next film is going to be. Universal Pictures is distributing the film, and it has a 2026 release. But what on earth is it?
Is it a vampire movie? Is it a sort-of remake of Blue Thunder? Could it be an espionage film? With each day comes a different rumour, and with that in mind, we’ve decided to do something useful. Instead of speculating as to what Nolan’s new movie is, we’ve managed to 100% rule out some projects that he won’t be taking on.

With Venom: The Last Dance set to hit theaters this weekend, Sony Pictures has released the first couple of clips from the threequel.
The first sees Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) enter a casino, as the symbiote excitedly uses the last of their cash on a slot machine (he doesn't react well to losing). The second clip is a little more revealing, as we learn that Doctor Payne (Juno Temple) has seemingly managed to separate Eddie from his alien pal.
The review embargo for The Last Dance lifted last night, and the critical consensus was not overly positive. Though some are referring to this final instalment in the franchise as the best of the trilogy, the movie has now dropped to 37% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 71 reviews.
This places the movie higher than 2018's Venom (30%), but significantly lower than Let There Be Carnage, which sits at a more respectable 57% on the review aggregator.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Tom Hardy shared his openness to reprising his role as Bane in a potential DC Studios project that could see the character team up with Deathstroke.
Hardy, known for his iconic portrayal of Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, enthusiastically said, “Oh, hell yeah. I’d love to.” However, he also hinted that it might be time for a new actor to take over the role.
Reflecting on the challenges of following Heath Ledger’s legendary Joker in Christopher Nolan’s 2012 film, Hardy recalled the pressure of creating a distinct villain. Instead of opting for a typical villain voice, he drew inspiration from Bartley Gorman, a famed bare-knuckle fighter with Romani and Latin roots, adding unique depth to Bane’s character.
Despite the risks involved, including potential mockery of his voice choice, Tom Hardy felt that giving Bane a distinctive voice added a...

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Tom Hardy expressed his willingness to don the role of Bane again for a potential DC Studios project that might pair the character with Deathstroke.
Hardy, recognized for his distinctive portrayal in ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ commented on the opportunity, stating, ‘Oh, hell yeah. I’d love to,’ but also acknowledged that his time as the character might be over, suggesting it might be time for another actor to take it on.
Hardy reminisced about the daunting task of crafting a new villain persona for Christopher Nolan’s 2012 film, especially following Heath Ledger’s memorable Joker. He faced the tough decision of adopting a ‘generic baddie voice’ or something more unique.
Hardy chose to innovate by adopting an accent inspired by Bartley Gorman, a renowned bare-knuckle fighter with Romani Gipsy, Latin roots. This choice added an unexpected depth and diversity to Bane’s character.

In 2012's The Dark Knight Rises, filmmaker Christopher Nolan turned to Tom Hardy to bring a new, grounded version of Bane to life on screen.
The actor put a unique new spin on the villain, and one was undoubtedly needed after Batman & Robin in 1997. Bane's sometimes hard-to-understand voice divided opinions, but the Venom: The Last Dance star was undeniably memorable in the role. Hardy's take on the villain was also physically dominant enough to leave us all reeling when he "broke the Bat."
Talking to Entertainment Tonight, Hardy was asked about recent reports that DC Studios is planning a Bane/Deathstroke team-up movie (which may or may not be a Secret Six feature).
So, would he be open to reprising the role in the Dcu? "Oh, hell yeah. I'd love to," the actor said. "But I don't know if that's for me. I did my run, let somebody else have a go.

As a rumour emerges that Christopher Nolan might be making a vampire horror next, we look at some unsettling moments from his earlier work.
The success of Oppenheimer was so unexpectedly huge that, if Christopher Nolan were to walk into a studio with a script about the making of decorative wall plates, executives would sign a cheque without asking too many questions.
Instead, one rumour rolling around is that Nolan has some sort of genre film in the works – according to the singularly intense YouTuber Grace Randolph, Nolan’s next project is in a similar “genre space” to movies coming out “in the next couple of months.” When a viewer on Randolph’s live stream asked whether it was some sort of horror film, Randolph replied, “That’s a good guess.”
Since then, Gizmodo/io9's Germain Lussier has seemingly backed up that story, and added a little more to...

Tom Hardy is one of the few actors in Hollywood who have had the privilege of being a part of both DC and Marvel franchises. Playing Bane in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises and going to play Venom in Sony’s Universe of Spider-Man characters would have understandably merited different approaches.

Speaking with Jake’s Takes on YouTube, the actor revealed how his performance as Bane actually required him to put in a lot more effort than he had to with Venom, given that the former was set to follow one of the best depictions of a comic book villain out to film.
