In a remarkable final day of the season, PSV Eindhoven have retained their Eredivisie title.

Phillip Cocu’s side went into the final day second in the table, but two goals from Luuk de Jong and a Jurgen Locadia strike handed them a 3-1 win over PEC Zwolle, which proved enough as Ajax could only draw 1-1 with De Graafschap.
Cocu cements his position as a PSV hero by leading the club to their second title in two years and the 23rd in their history. PSV will also take their place in the group stages of the Champions League next season.
For Ajax, it is another trophyless season and they must now rebuild in the summer. The big question will be whether Frank de Boer remains at the club.
