I've been interested in genealogy and history for almost 20 years off and on. And with headstones fading and weathering we can lose much of that history, which is why 'finda grave' is a worthy project. It's a great way to honor those that we should remember.
Any of you that suspect errors or have additional info on any memorials that I manage please do not hesitate to contact me. If I have any memorials that you are a direct descendant of and you want to have it transferred... just ask. Those closest are the ones that generally take the best care in my opinion.
I'm currently researching SAYRE, DENTON, SEELY, TUTHILL, BREWSTER, WOODHULL, BUCKBEE (and several others) in early/mid 1700's to 1800's - mostly in New York and East coast. My SAYRE line in America originated from Thomas Sayre that arrived in America in 1635 from England. He was of the original (7) families that founded South Hampton, New York. I suspect Thomas would be shocked to see what has happened to the Hamptons considering there are nothing less than multi-million dollar homes there now!
Any pics on graves that I contribute are yours for the taking for personal use (no need to ask permission), although I would like due credit if you decide to post them somewhere.
Good hunting!
