Drinking from My Saucer
by John Paul Moore
I've never made a fortune and it's probably too late now.
But I don't worry about that much, I'm happy anyhow.
And as I go along life's way, I'm reaping better than I sowed.
I'm drinking from my saucer, 'Cause my cup has overflowed.
I don't have a lot of riches, and sometimes the going's tough.
But I've got loved ones around me, and that makes me rich enough.
I thank God for his blessings, and the mercies He's bestowed.
I'm drinking from my saucer, 'Cause my cup has overflowed.
I remember times when things went wrong, my faith wore somewhat thin.
But all at once the dark clouds broke, and the sun peeped through again.
So God, help me not to gripe about the tough rows that I've hoed.
I'm drinking from my saucer, 'Cause my cup has overflowed.

We really have enjoyed helping others, find, record and link their family members. Doing audits of complete cemeteries is a special pleasure since it finds those memorials that would never be listed. Little children buried next to the parents who never appear in census records get recorded so they are not forgotten, unmarked graves make you pause and think. We are entering a new world with no cemetery burial, it is nice when we know the parents in order to link a non cemetery burial to other family members. We enjoy being non paid contributors to Ancestry. You may use any of our contributions to Find A Grave, feel free to use the photos that we have added.

"Strangers in the Box" By Pamela A. Harazim

Come, look with me inside this drawer, In this box I've often seen,
At the pictures, black and white, Faces proud, still, serene.
I wish I knew the people, These strangers in the box,
Their names and all their memories Are lost among my socks.
I wonder what their lives were like. How did they spend their days? What about their special times? I'll never know their ways.
If only someone had taken time To tell who, what, where, when,
These faces of my heritage, Would come to life again.
Could this become the fate Of the pictures we take today?
The faces and the memories Someday to be tossed away?
Make time to save your pictures, Seize the opportunity when it knocks, Or someday you and yours could be The strangers in the box.

If you could see your ancestors
All standing in a row,
There might be some of them, perhaps,
You wouldn't want to know.
But, here's another question, which
Requires another view,
If you could meet your ancestors,
Would they be proud of you?
