Grew up in San Antonio after traveling with my Mom and Dad when he was in the Air Force. We lived in a lot of places including Rio, Brazil for 2 years. After return from Brazil we moved to Rockport, TX and that's where I went to the 1st grade. After that we moved to San Antonio where I started the 2nd grade in the Alamo Heights School District through the 12th grade. went to Calif. for the summer of 1964 I moved to Bandera, TX after returning from Calif. until I got my draft notice from President LB Johnson to report for duty in the Army in December 1964. Lived in Bandera County from 1964 after school. Been coming to Bandera County all my life from San Antonio prior to 1964. After high school in San Antonio I moved to Bandera. Went into the USAF in '65 and back to Bandera County in early '69. Went to work for the Texas Highway Department where I worked all but 8 of my 34 years in Bandera County. My last 4 were in Kendall County at Boerne, Texas just east of Pipe Creek, Bandera County, Texas. Retired in 2003 and ran for Bandera County Commissioner in Precinct 1 around the Pipe Creek area. Took office in 2005 and re-elected in 2009 for another 4 year term. Retired December 31, 2012. After a 4 year gap I decided to run again and took office on Jan 1, 2017 to Dec 2020. It's time to get ready to run one more term so I'll i'm going to take it on! My health is good and I love serving others! If I win i'll leave office Dec 31, 2024.
