I have been interested in genealogy and cemeteries ever since I can remember, as a young child, my mother receiving pictures of dead ancestor's, pictures of their grave and a short little tidbit about them and their life from my Uncle in Tennessee. When I was 12 I traveled across the country (from Washington state to Tennessee!) to visit this mysterious uncle my mother always received letters and pictures and all kinds of interesting stuff from on a weekly basis, sometimes more. His farm home in Crossville, TN was filled with relics of our family past....part Cherokee indian tribes they were and the other half German immigrants. The pictures and background and grave pictures fascinated me.

My Uncle would be so mystified by the internet genealogical possibilities! He drove all around hunting down relatives, he was a trooper, and to him it truly was a treasure hunt.

I loved how it gave me the sense that, hey, we all will be dead someday, but not forgotten. Luckily there is at least one genealogy nut in every family, or so it seems.

I have since been visiting cemeteries off and on and recently rediscovered my love for uncovering the past. If you have any requests in the Spokane, WA area I would love to post pictures and information for you.
