A more relaxed version of Pee-Wee’s adventures. After all these years, it’s no longer possible to push as hard; Paul Reubens has crossed his sixties, had a fairly interesting career (as a gift from Burton, he got Penguin’s father), and as a final treat, he took one more look back with Pee-Wee. His amusing companion is Joe Manganiello playing himself. What else can I add? If this masterpiece hadn’t been made, nothing would have happened, but since it had to be, it’s interesting to find out that it’s much more digestible than the original.

Paul Reubens and his alter ego Pee-Wee in the strangest 80s escapade of the decade. Regardless, Pee-Wee is part of the Tim Burton phenomenon; it was his first feature film, and Danny Elfman composed the music even back then. However, if it weren’t for Burton’s later successes, no one would have remembered Pee-Wee after 1990. And had the miracle called Beetlejuice not happened, Burton would have become the successor to Ed Wood... As it is, Pee-Wee lives on, and of course, Netflix jumped on the bandwagon, resulting in a sequel, Pee-wee's Big Holiday, more than 30 years later. People marvel, the experts wonder.

It took a lot of self-restraint, but in the end, I finished the trilogy. It was really about completing the movie tolerance, endurance, and seriality challenge. It took eight years, but it's done. And that in itself is the most important thing. I survived one of the most annoying pre-COVID phenomena, over the years I met many different people with various opinions on Fifty Shades, and it was never flattering. Once the mass hysteria faded, it became clear how pointless it all was. Various ads for premium products often have greater artistic and formal qualities than this entire trilogy, which is sad. It all presents itself as a sexy genre piece with a mystery, but even most Harlequin novels are written much better, without their authors having to try. The chemistry between Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan doesn’t exist, the story makes no sense, and even the latent erotica doesn’t work. If someone is looking for a spicy experience, they can always find porn with a plot; if they're after a thrilling romance, it’s not hard to find something that doesn't embarrass the genre.
