For a Netflix family comedy, it's a fine entertainment with a nice idea that had me smiling from start to finish. Jennifer Garner and Jenna Ortega are very nice to look at and the idea of parents having to answer everything to Yes is pretty original. The supporting characters are funny (the policeman, the gym teacher with croquet and the paramedic), the film flows well, some of the scenes are downright cool (the party at the house). I have a soft spot for comedies, I laughed more than I expected, so I'm happy to overrate. Together with Instant Family probably the most feel good family comedy in recent times. 7/10. (2021.03.14)

Yes Day has a fun concept and a family-friendly vibe, and Jennifer Garner and Édgar Ramírez as the mom and dad totally won me over. I’m glad I spent an hour and a half of my life on this one. (2021.05.25)

If you turn off your brain while watching Yes Day, you will still feel like you're watching a flat and formulaic film that tries to be cool while underutilizing a premise that could have definitely been made more out of. Alongside this, you'll find yourself thinking that life without children – though perhaps empty for some – has its advantages. Both Jennifer Garner and Édgar Ramírez are normally fine actors, but here they have nothing to work with. PS: Why did they have to cram an unnecessary scene with artificial birds into the film?! A very undemanding comedy, tailor-made for Netflix with the main duo of actors, whom I don't particularly like. Unfortunately, this time too, I have the feeling that this piece couldn't make it to the cinemas and there is a taste of direct-to-video film in it. But the colorful palette and filter try to mask it quite well, and as a simple spectacle, it works reasonably well. I facepalmed several times, but fortunately it wasn't too painful. A laid-back family comedy that's fine for kids, but a misery for adults. The humour is infantile and mediocre and some scenes were downright cringe – I believe that if similar comedies were targeted older audiences they would be more acceptable. I do appreciate Edgar Ramírez's efforts at comedy, which he wasn't even bad at, but he was just born with a character for crime thrillers and not for kids' movies... (2021.03.18)
