Carson, lycéen geek, malin et sarcastique, rêve de devenir un talentueux journaliste. Mais il lui faut un dossier béton pour intégrer une prestigieuse université et quand on vient de Clover High School, ce n'est pas facile ! La conseillère pédagogique de son lycée lui suggère de créer un club littéraire pour sortir du lot. Mais comment motiver des lycéens plus intéressés par le foot, la drague, les bimbos et la fête ? I am not sure if the creators made the right choice with the premise. This story and the movie might actually really piss some people off. If not the movie, then the main character, the boy who thinks that he is different. He is a smart-ass and tries to distinguish himself from the rest of the kids at school. The calm comes with the first scene where a lightning bolt strikes the boy and he dies on the spot. I don’t know if it is ethically okay to begin a movie with this, but on the other hand, at least you know where you stand and can at least guess how the movie is going to end. With respect to the story and the main character, I can’t say I liked the movie. Quite the contrary.
