After taking a degree in engineering, Roger Corman goes into movies as a producer in 1953, making his directing debut in 1955. His output was especially prolific in low-budget horror films, with his cycle of Edgar Allan Poe adaptations – mostly starring Vincent Price – achieving cult status.
