Everybody had a great time. Often it's rehearsed bollocks to boost sales, but when you see Hugh Jackman's enthusiasm and Shawn Levy's exuberance it's clear this was an extraordinary stroke of luck that paid off. Surprisingly, the man holding it on his shoulders is quite overlooked. Ryan Reynolds sings the praises and modestly rakes in millions for a project that didn't have it easy at all, thanks to the high bar set. Good thing it worked out.

A magnificent ride from start to finish. An almost procedural study of a pathological liar and his journey to the top. Much better than Batman, Penguin expands and in many ways enriches that world. Colin Farrell is brilliant, he dives into the role in an unreal way is supported by equally well acted but juicy supporting characters. Cristin Milioti seconds wonderfully as does the stuttering Rhenzy Feliz. The final episode is a little overwrought, but ends with the key lesson that money really does buy you a lot, even a quality lie for yourself.

Still pretty good. My daughter's started liking Sonic, so I will have to start buying the plush toys. The mythology is getting more complex with the Master Esmerald, or something, Knuckles and Tails. Jim Carrey still rules, though, and he's the best thing about the whole movie.
