Frank and Ava

The film is a love poem honoring one of the most harrowing and heart stirring romances in Hollywood history. Frank Sinatra at the downturn of his career, his voice strained, his marriage on the rocks, and his acting career a humorous gossip item, falls in love with Ava Gardner, the most beautiful actress of his time. His pursuit of her borders on obsession as her passion, caprice and infidelities make their relationship and eventual marriage volatile engulfing and suspicion-filled. Frank's sole rays of hope at perhaps the darkest hour of his career are his pursuit of Ava and almost infatuation in attaining the role of Angelo Maggio in Columbia Picture's production, From Here to Eternity.
