18 For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but ^ztheir own appetites,¹ and ^aby smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.

6 ^wLet no one ^xdeceive you with empty words, for because of these things ^ythe wrath of God comes upon ^zthe sons of disobedience.

3 And ^rin their greed they will exploit you ^swith false words. ^tTheir condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.
