After an on-site inspection, the Division of Public Health (DPH) identified a residential location at 58A Clinton Street in Delaware City, DE that was performing unpermitted body art activities. According to DPH's body art regulations, tattooing is not permitted in a residential home. DPH issued a cease and desist order October 1 for all body art operations at this address.
After being alerted by the Delaware City Police Department (DCPD), DPH and DCPD responders seized unsterilized body art equipment at the location. Anyone receiving body art from this location who is concerned about potential health effects is encouraged to contact their health care provider for a medical evaluation.
Delawareans can also contact DPH, Office of Infectious Disease Epidemiology at 888-295-5156 for more information about health risks and disease testing services.
