DART First State Transit Theme Poster Contest

Let's encourage today's students to learn more about Delaware's Public Transit System.
DART First State invites you to partner with us by having your students participate in our Annual Transit Theme Poster Contest.

2024 POSTER THEME: "The Colors of Travel". DART encourages students to seize the opportunity to capture the experiences from their daily travels. Using bold colors to highlight the locations and connections, conversations, and shared moments that make public transportation a lively community on the move, while encouraging others to join in on the enriching experience of riding DART buses.

ELIGIBILITY: Children in Grades 6 through 12.

SCHOOL/ORGANIZATION ROLE: Conduct the poster contest and forward student posters to DART First State by mail for judging. Use the poster theme/contest in your curriculum and classroom work if applicable.

THE POSTER: The poster can be created using bold colored pencils, crayons, paints, markers, and digital art. The poster size is to be on 8.5” x 11” paper. The DART logo must appear on drawings. All lettering must be legible, and words must be spelled correctly, even when used as a design element. Please include the student’s name, address, age, grade level, school/organization name and address, teacher/advisor name, and contact information on the reverse of the poster artwork board.

DEADLINE: Please check back in the Winter of 2025 for updated Poster Contest details. .

JUDGING & AWARDS: : DART will judge the entries for originality, theme presentation, and artistic quality. A First Place Winner will be chosen from each grade, and from those winners, a Grand Prize Winner will be selected. The Grand Prize Winner will have their poster displayed on all DART buses. All winners will receive an award certificate and gifts from DART and its business partners, and all the winning posters will be displayed on DART’s website, DartFirstState.com. Each entrant will receive a certificate of participation. All artwork becomes the property of DART and may be used in future advertising or promotional materials with appropriate credit to the artist.
