Shawn Robert Ashmore sa narodil 7. októbra 1979 v kanadskom Richmonde minútu po svojej dvojičke, Aaronovi. Pred kamery sa spolu so svojim bratom postavil už keď mal sedem rokov. Odpútať od svojho brata sa mu podarilo v štrnástich rokoch v televíznom filme GUITARMAN, za ktorý bol nominovaný aj na cenu Gemini. Odvtedy jeho hviezda stúpala. Natočil veľa televíznych filmov a seriálov, no v roku 2000 sa objavil ako Iceman vo filme X-MEN a potom aj v pokračovaniach… (více)
