Choral Arts announces two Christmas performances in December.
After selling out all shows in 2022 and 2023, Handel’s Messiah is back, with an extra performance added. Performances will take place at First Presbyterian Church, 554 McCallie Ave. in Chattanooga, on Friday, Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 8 at 3 p.m.
"Experience the profound beauty and resounding choral harmonies of this cherished seasonal treasure in the historic First Presbyterian Church.
This evocative selection of movements perfectly captures the essence of Handel’s masterpiece, including the world-famous Hallelujah Chorus," officials said.
This is a Chattanooga Symphony & Opera event. Choral Arts Anytime Passes are not valid for redeeming tickets. Purchase tickets from the CSO website.
Choral Arts of Chattanooga also invites the public to their own celebration of Christmas, Gloria!, on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m. at Second Presbyterian Church, 700 Pine St. in Chattanooga.
"Each year we present a number of classic carol arrangements, as well as a larger work. This year we are proud to present Vivaldi's Gloria, a timeless piece of music that has been sung at Christmas for generations. Come and join us for this special time," officials said.
