We are looking for colleagues to join our teams involved in the development of medical devices. Candidates should have experience in electronics design, a desire to work on technically challenging projects and a willingness to learn new things.
Controlling high-voltage sources that drive lasers and power magnetic field generators.
Regulating the output power of lasers with peak powers up to several kW.
Synchronizing and monitoring various parts of the device to ensure flawless therapy (laser energy, temperature of individual components, cooling liquid flow, supplied power, etc.).
Ensuring the device is safe for both patients and operators.
Creating high voltage up to several kV needed to generate the therapeutic signal.
Generating and correctly coupling RF signals with power up to hundreds of watts into human tissue.
Accurately measuring biological signals.
Providing a user interface for device operation.
The solutions must not only be functional in laboratory conditions but also realisable within the constraints of the entire product design and its industrial design. They must be reliable over the long term, manufacturable in series production, cost-effective, and compliant with all relevant technical standards.
You are a DIY enthusiast and have an engineer's heart.
You appreciate hands-on work—we manufacture/assemble prototypes ourselves.
You love learning new things.
You have experience in electronics design—we welcome experience with analog and digital circuit design (operational amplifiers, signal processing, analog-to-digital converters, processors, etc.).
You can use design systems (we use Altium).
You know how to use simulation tools in design.
You are familiar with manufacturing technologies (PCBs, etc.).
You enjoy working in a team.
You have knowledge of EMC issues.
You have expert insight and practical knowledge—you can identify potential problem areas in construction.
You have a good command of the English language.
Are you used to 5 weeks of holidays, sick days and language courses? Great, old habits die hard and that’s how we do things here.
Meal tickets? We don't have that here, but we do have a meal voucher in the amount of CZK 28,000 net yearly.
There’s always something to celebrate. We celebrate anniversaries, birthdays and hand out medals for years “served” in BTL (and bonuses, of course).
Are you sugar-driven? Our kitchens are stuffed full of sweets to keep you going.
And finally we’d like to mention that…
…you’ll be able to take part in developing unique medical technologies (from the initial idea, all the way to getting the product made on our own mass production lines).
…we develop products that are used in 82 countries worldwide, producing over 30,000 devices a year.
…we work in small project teams, your work will be visible.
…together, we overcome significant work challenges, but also enjoy a challenge outside of work, like cold water training in the Džbán reservoir.
…you’ll be able to share your know-how with the top developers / experts / professionals in the field.
Designing each device's detailed mechanical structure and accessories involves project analysis, 3D modeling, the selection of proper materials and production technologies, precise mechanical and optical parts construction, and the design of control elements.
Creating designs working from DC to gigahertz frequencies, from microvolts to kilovolts and from miliwatts to kilowatts in power.
Designing circuits with microcontrollers, A/D and D/A convertors, low-noise analogue input amplifiers, high-voltage output amplifiers, and generators and amplifiers for RF signals.
Development of low-level embedded firmware for our devices as well as application software for PCs running in multi-platform enviroments. Our software controls actuators, measures physical entities, regulates activities, communicates through modern peripherals, and processes and evaluates biological signals.
Full spectra of EMS tests, of climatic resistance, operational temperature measurements and analysis, testing of safety properties, and cable and connector testing.
