Upendra Niwas, Sion. Built Year: 1950. Upendra Niwas features several subtle Art Deco elements, despite its predominantly utilitarian, modernist appearance. Notice the square cut-outs along the sides of the now enclosed balcony on the top floor, which serve as ornamentation but would also have let more light in.
