Formed in 2009, the Archive Team (not to be confused with the archive.org Archive-It Team) is a rogue archivist collective dedicated to saving copies of rapidly dying or deleted websites for the sake of history and digital heritage. The group is 100% composed of volunteers and interested parties, and has expanded into a large amount of related projects for saving online and digital history.
How to Buy
Go to the tickets page, choose your sessions and buy your tickets now. As of late June, you will also be able to purchase tickets from Rio 2016 ticket offices.
Payment
To purchase Rio 2016 tickets online, you will need a Visa credit card. You will also be able to make purchases at ticket offices using Visa credit card or cash.
Not a Brazilian Resident?

Check List
Once you have your tickets, confirm the date, time and venue on our online schedule. Don’t forget to check again on the day to ensure nothing has changed. You should plan, in advance, your travel to the venue to ensure that you get there on time.
Resale
Bought a ticket for a session you can’t attend? If your purchase was made through the Rio 2016 ticket website, you can use the website to help you to resell it quickly, easily, securely... and legally. After the Games, you will be reimbursed 100% of the amount paid for any tickets resold. If you know of anyone reselling tickets illegally, please let us know: monitoramento@rio2016.com
Half-price Tickets
Half-price tickets are available for the following Brazilian residents:
* Those aged over 60, wheelchair users (accompanied or not), those with a disability, those with reduced mobility and the obese: for all the price categories
* Students, Rio de Janeiro public school teachers: half-price for the lowest price category
PLEASE NOTE: Proof of eligibility for the half-price discount is required for entry to the venue. If you are not eligible for the discount, you will not be allowed entry even if you hold a half-price ticket. The discount is not cumulative.
Free Entry
Children under the age of two (who have not had their 2nd birthday on the date of the event) are allowed free entry to all of the Rio 2016 sessions, but must be seated on an adult’s lap and are not entitled to a separate seat.
