International showcase agency, British Underground, has launched a video channel on YouTube aimed at highlighting the UK’s outsider music.
Filmed live in London, a series of exclusive sessions featuring live performances, interviews and behind the scenes footage will start with Bristol band Zun Zun Egui and cellist Laura Moody (pictured).
Other acts set to be profiled include Kero Kero Bonito, Sam Lee, Public Service Broadcasting, The Young’Uns and Jus Now.
Discussing the launch, Crispin Parry, CEO of British Underground, said: “BU staff come from editorial backgrounds
and moving towards more content creation is exciting and a natural fit for us.
"These sessions will help us increase the reach of the acts we support whilst showcasing the unique creativity of the UK’s new music community to a global audience.”
British Underground is an Arts Council England NPO housed in the Musicians’ Union. The firm hosts stages at events like SXSW, Folk Alliance, WOMEX and AMA.
Next year, it plans to film and broadcast British Underground Sessions live from the international showcase stages.
