Nigeria: 'Ajaokuta Steel Coy to Create 15,000 Jobs'

The Ajaokuta Steel Company, when fully operated, would generate over 15,000 direct employment, for Nigerians, in addition to other several thousand others, that would be employed, due to its multiplier effect.

The sole Administrator of the company, Engr. Joseph Isah, who stated this, while

addressing a press conference, listed other benefits of the steel plant to the nation to include; enhancing technological growth, acquisition of technical expertise, provision of input for infrastructural development and adding value to our natural resources.

He said that contrary to speculations, the blast furnace technology of steel production adopted by the company was the best source of steel making adopted all over the world.
