Angola: Minister Assesses Golungo Alto's Integrated Project

Luanda — The minister of Family and Promotion of Women (Minfamu), Filomena Delgado, is expected this Monday in Canaulo village, Golungo Alto Municipality, in the northern Kwanza Norte Province, to assess the degree of execution of an integrated project in the ambit of the Rural Development and Fight against Poverty Programme, in the mentioned community.

A note from Minfamu received Sunday by ANGOP states that the project is intended to benefit 53 peasant families, most of whom are poor women and it includes the construction of 253 three-bedroom houses, a rural market, a literacy school, an arts and trade school, a children's centre, a health centre and a laundry with fountains, among other infrastructures.

According to the source, in the ambit of the project it is already concluded the construction of forty residences, a health centre, children's centres and the professional training school.

In the ambit of the social organisation, the Angolan executive, in partnership with the Norwegian NGO Humana People to People (ADPP), has been working in a community project involving 750 families, among other social and educational projects.
