Wireless Access

The Sydney Cricket Ground and Sydney Football Stadium are equipped with a state-of-the-art wireless local area network (WLAN).

The Sydney Cricket & Sports Ground Trust became the first Australian venue organisation to install a permanent WLAN in a sports venue, with installation of the network at the SCG in 2003. Such was the success of the network, it was extended to Sydney Football Stadium in the same year.

Who can access the wireless network?

The WLAN is currently available to venue hirers, media personnel, hospitality clients, members and the Trust's staff.

The network has been enthusiastically embraced by major media organisations who report on events at the SCG and SFS. The advantage of WLAN is that it enables journalists and photographers to upload content at high speed from anywhere in the venues. Photographers can upload large picture files within seconds whilst on the field of play.

For all enquiries about the WLAN, please contact the Trust's IT Department via e-mail wireless@scgt.nsw.gov.au.
