Kristine Frøseth
Actress/model Kristine Froseth rose quickly in the entertainment industry thanks, in part, to having two home countries. Born in New Jersey, she split her childhood between the United States and her parents' native Oslo, Norway. As a teenager, she began modeling, first in Norway and then in the U.S. While working on advertising campaigns, she also appeared in music videos for The Weeknd and Vancouver Sleep Clinic. She moved into acting, appearing with Lucia Ribisi in the webseries "Junior" (Blackpill, 2016) and Danny Strong's J.D. Salinger biopic "Rebel in the Rye" (2017). Her acting profile jumped when she played mean girl Veronica in "Sierra Burgess Is a Loser" (Netflix, 2018). She followed that with a role in the horror film "Apostle" (Netflix, 2018). She also took a role opposite Patrick Dempsey and Damon Wayans Jr. in "The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair" (Epix, 2018), a miniseries based on Joel Dicker's novel of the same name. The actress also appeared in the horror film "Prey" (2018) and Kevin McMullin's drama "Low Tide" (2018). She was originally slated to have a role in a proposed film adaption of John Green's popular young adult novel "Looking For Alaska" (Dutton, 2005), but the project fell through. When Green's work instead was turned into a miniseries, Froseth was cast as Alaska Young, the troubled girl at the center of the story.
