The Zugaihasatsu (頭蓋破殺? "Cranium Crush Killer") is one of Akuma's, Evil Ryu's, and Kage's unique attacks, introduced in Street Fighter Alpha: Warriors' Dreams. In Street Fighter 6, the name of this move is changed into Skull Splitter.

Description[]
- "An overhead attack that cannot be blocked while crouching."
- —Street Fighter 6
Executed by pressing forward and Medium Punch (Heavy Punch in other versions), the user delivers an open palm chop to the opponent's head, hitting them twice overhead.
Tactics[]
The attack is normally fast, but it was often slow in past appearances and then became very slow in the Street Fighter IV series, being vulnerable to any quick attack. However, it has great combo potential, as it can be canceled to any special after the second hit, but not any Super or Ultra Combo.
The attack is a little quicker than Ryu's Collarbone Breaker, making it a good counter. The first hit of this attack can only be blocked high, but the second hit can be blocked both high and low, though it can only be blocked high as well in the Street Fighter IV series, making this attack good against crouching opponents. As an overhead attack, the main purpose is to break through the defenses.
However, in some games such as Marvel vs. Capcom 3, its use can be for juggle combos due to its ground bounce property.
In Street Fighter 6, this move is more of a threat when Akuma performs this move from a Drive Rush. With his speed and wideset of versatile moves, Akuma can catch his opponent off-guard with his overhead, even from midscreen. Even if the opponent blocks the overhead, it can be difficult to punish him.

Trivia[]
- This is the only unique attack Akuma seems to keep in his visible moveset list as Oni.
- Zugaihasatsu is similar to Ryu's overhead attack, the Collarbone Breaker.
- Kage is the only Zugaihassatsu practitioner that perform the move with his leading hand, reinforcing the notion that he is indeed the opposite of Ryu. Kage also noticeably performs this move with more strength than that of Akuma's, causing a small screen-shake on hit on top of inflicting only a single hit as opposed to two like with Ryu and Akuma's arm-based overheads.
