- —Akuma in Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact
The Messatsu Gou Hadou (滅殺豪波動? "Annihilating Great Surge") is a Super Combo used by Akuma in many of his appearances, first appearing in the arcade port of Street Fighter: The Movie.
In Marvel vs. Capcom, Ryu (Mode Change) can use this move. Cyber-Akuma also uses the move, where it is referred to as High Mega Gou Beam (ハイメガ豪ビーム?).

Description[]
- "Fires a high-speed, concentrated ball of the Satsui no Hado forward. Has high attack power for a projectile-based Super Art."
- —Street Fighter 6
The Messatsu Gou Hadou is a much stronger purple version of the Shinku Hadoken that inflicts a great deal of damage, and also has a midair parallel in the Tenma Gou Zankuu. In the Vs. Marvel series, like almost all Hadoken Supers, this move is portrayed as a long energy beam. In X-Men: Children of the Atom, it is orange and is one of his ultimate attacks, with the additional ability to burn the opponent, similar to his Shakunetsu Hadoken and the Street Fighter Alpha series' version of the Messatsu Gou Hadou.
In Marvel vs. Capcom 3, there are two versions of the attack that also apply to the Tenma Gou Zankuu; the game also introduced the variations named Messatsu Gou Hadou: Agyou (滅殺豪波動・阿形? "Annihilating Great Surge: Open-Mouthed Form") and Messatsu Gou Hadou: Ungyou (滅殺豪波動・吽形? "Annihilating Great Surge: Closed-Mouthed Form"). The former is a barrage of Hadoukens not unlike the original MvC series Tenma Gou Zankuu, while the latter done by holding down the Heavy button during the startup flash is a beam fired from both palms, just like the original Messatsu Gou Hadou.
It usually hits up to eight times in the Street Fighter series, while in the crossover games, it can hit more than 8 times. In some games, by using Akuma's Satsui no Hado taunt, its damage and lethality increases.
The Messatsu Gou Hadou returns in Tekken 7: Fated Retribution where it is Akuma's lone Super Art (his Rage Art is Wrath of the Raging Demon). It functions fairly similarly to its Street Fighter III incarnation, except that it can't be used in mid-air. While use of the move is rather rare due to EX moves using half the meter and EX Focus Cancels using the entire meter, it deals impressive damage and can even outdamage his Rage Art at times. Since it can be easily sidestepped like all of Akuma's Hadokens in this game, care must be taken in its use; thus it is best employed as a punish or combo finisher.
This followed by its return in Street Fighter 6, where it serves as a Level 1 Super Art. He can cancel his most of his normals into Messatsu Gohado, inflicting massive damage and knocking the opponent back midscreen. This is a great way to create separation between the opponent or push them closer toward the corner. At the same time, its aerial counterpart returns as well. It can be performed during neutral or forward jump while performing two quarter-circle forward motions and pressing kick.
In Tekken (Mobile), the Messatsu Gohado is labelled as Gohadoken in his featured Act. It was served as one of his Special Waza Cards within his 4-Star appearance.
