Chandi is a character who debuted in in the game Street Fighter 6.

Appearance

Chandi is a small, demure-seeming woman with short, razor-cut pink hair. She lacks eyebrows and possesses dark, tanned skin. She wears a yellow hoodie cropped short to expose her midsection and black pants.

Story

Chandi is the second-in-command of the Crows and subordinate to Rudra. According to Rudra, he found Chandi as another starving kid digging through trash to survive, and she was once extremely hostile even to him. However, over time, her temperament mellowed and though she now seems demure and timid at first glance, Chandi is a tough fighter and eager to prove as much.

She is fiercely loyal to Rudra and the Crows (eagerly calling him "Boss" to his dismay), although not above questioning his orders or laying into him for his mistakes. When Rudra becomes depressed after his loss to the Avatar, Chandi seeks out the Avatar herself to find a way to snap him out of it, even accepting her boss's challenge to a 2-on-1 fight and calling him out for believing the Crows follow him for his strength and not his character.

It's hinted that she has romantic feelings for Rudra, and prefers for him to call her "Chandi-pop".

Fighting Style

Chandi uses a generic "projectile fighter" style of fighting, opting to keep her distance and throw various objects and weapons at her opponents.

Trivia

• Chandi is named after a Hindu goddess of war, who is often considered a manifestation of Durga or Kali, the wife of Shiva. Given that Shiva is also conflated with the wind god Rudra at times, this alludes to the (possibly romantic) relationship between Chandi and Rudra.
