Other UK-based players aim to step into other regional markets, although not always successfully. That’s the case with Cazoo, a car retail startup pioneering in seamless e-commerce experience. After going public in 2021, Cazoo acquired Spanish Swipcar and Italian BrumBrum before selling them in 2022.Among other big automotive marketplaces, Germany-based Auto1 is one of the few operating in the entire European region, connecting vehicle buyers and sellers from 30 countries. Although increasing sales in Spain, Belgium, and the UK, France remains the core market of Aramis Group, which hit nearly 1.8 billion euros in revenue in the financial year 2022.
Car parts retailers and their consumer base
Car parts retail, including the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) segment, has thrived in the online market. In Europe, Germany hosts one of the biggest players—Autodoc, which ranked among the top car parts and tires online stores in France, the UK, and Spain.Although lagging compared to U.S. usage rates, online shopping for car parts 1334071 has come to be an established habit among European consumers.
