Indofood: Indonesia’s FMCG giant
PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk, commonly known as Indofood, is one of Indonesia’s largest and most influential fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies. Founded in 1990, Indofood has become a household name, producing a wide range of popular food and beverage products that cater to Indonesian tastes. With its flagship brand, Indomie, Indofood has achieved iconic status both domestically and globally. In 2023, Indomie topped the list of leading FMCG brands in Indonesia, with a household penetration rate close to 100 percent. In addition, Indomie and Indofood seasoning and condiment products were also the most preferred food brands among Indonesian households in the same year.
Expanding beyond food and beverage
With the help of employees totaling more than 90,000, Indofood has diversified its operations into four main segments: consumer branded products, bogasari (flour and pasta), agribusiness, and distribution. This structure has enabled Indofood to adapt to changing consumer demands while ensuring a stable supply chain through local sourcing. Through a combination of innovation, market understanding, and an extensive product lineup, Indofood remains an FMCG leader in Indonesia.
