The rate of car break-ins in Brazil has been decreasing recently. During 2018, approximately 242 out of every 100,000 vehicles were broken into in the South American country, down from an average of 277 car break-ins per 100,000 automobiles observed a year earlier. Meanwhile, the auto theft rate in Brazil stood at less than 246 cases per 100,000 vehicles in 2018.
