Total assets refer to any items with economic value, which a company owns, trades, and manages in order to generate profit. As of 2022, the total assets of French insurance corporations were the highest of any country listed, with a value of more than 2.9 trillion U.S. dollars. This was followed by the United Kingdom, with approximately 2.5 trillion U.S. dollars in total assets that year. The top three are completed by Germany, where the total assets of insurance corporations reached a value of just over 2.4 trillion U.S. dollars.
