This statistic illustrates the results of a survey on car sharing as an alternative to purchasing a car in Germany in 2018. Of respondents, 27 percent of the total population stated they would use car sharing instead of buying a their own car. In terms of age group divisions, 50 percent of 18 to 29-year-olds could imagine relying only on car sharing, compared to 31 percent of 30 to 49-year-olds.
