In 2022, there were more than 498,900 companies registered in the construction sector in Brazil, the highest figure reported since 2012. One of the largest increases in the number of companies happened in 2019, reaching roughly 271,400 firms. The number of construction companies in the country fluctuated a lot. The number of employees in the Brazilian construction sector decreased between 2015 and 2018.
