Leading university owners of United States issued utility patents 2020
In 2020, the University of California was the leading university for U.S. utility patents granted, with a total of 597. Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University, University of Texas, and Johns Hopkins University rounded out the top five universities for U.S. utility patents granted in that year.
