In 2023, domestic tourism spending in Italy surpassed the figure recorded in 2019, the year before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Overall, the expenditure by domestic travelers in the country amounted to 117.5 billion euros in 2023. This figure was expected to reach an estimated 119 billion euros in 2024.
