Leading industrialized countries like the United Kingdom see a much higher consumption of soft drinks than the EU average. In 2018, a citizen of the UK consumed on average 211.1 liters of soft drinks. The country has seen the same overall trend in consumption. Large, populous markets such as the UK are most likely the driver of overall developments in EU consumption. Despite these developments, market value has grown and is predicted to grow further.
