German consumers take their skincare seriously, investing research, time and money into picking products. Considering that the German market offers a wide selection of skincare brands made in Germany itself, product interest and sales may be additionally boosted by consumer trust. Several established and thriving drugstore chains also offer easy access to affordable skincare.
Skin deep
Selecting body care and cosmetics products is something consumers base on quite a few criteria, among them scent and quality, as well as skin compatibility. Aside from a few fluctuations, revenue from skin and facial care products in Germany has generally remained stable over the last few years. It looks to be a thick-skinned market, well positioned to continue with stable sales in the 2020s.
