The statistic shows the total value of claims and benefits paid on the insurance market in Belgium between 2004 and 2020. A stable growth in the value of claims and benefits could be observed throughout the period till 2015, with the exception of 2009 and 2010. From 2016 onwards, there has been a steady decrease in the values. The total worth of claims and benefits paid by insurers in Belgium amounted to approximately 23.9 billion euros in 2020, a slight increase from the previous year.
