Share of utility patent grants issued U.S. FY 2021, by entity size and origin
In the fiscal year of 2021, about 68.75 percent of utility patents issued to U.S. companies had been granted by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to large entities of U.S. origin. In that same year, 83.57 percent of the utility patents granted to companies of foreign origin were granted to large entities.
