In 2023, box office revenue in Colombia totaled nearly 474.5 billion Colombian pesos, up from less than 380 billion pesos a year earlier – an annual growth of 25 percent. Still, the 2021 figure amounted to only 75 percent of the box office gross recorded in 2019, before the COVID-19 outbreak.
