Investments of property and casualty insurers in the U.S. 2013-2022, by asset type
In 2022, bonds accounted for more than half of all investments made by property and casualty insurance companies in the United States. In that year, approximately 1.14 trillion U.S. dollars were invested in bonds by property and casualty insurance companies, which was 55 percent of the total amount of two trillion U.S. dollars.
