COSCO Container - number of ships 2021-2023
As of May 2023, COSCO, the shipping and logistics services supplier with headquarters in Beijing, had a fleet of 467 ships carrying about 2.9 million TEUs. The majority of the vessels in the company's fleet was chartered, while 180 ships were owned by the company.
In July 2017, COSCO put in a bid to buy Hong Kong based Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) as well as its parent company. The merger was completed in June 2018.
