As of December 2023, approximately 77 percent of people aged 16 and over surveyed in Ireland either agreed or strongly agreed that the advertising industry should help people live healthy and sustainable lives. Around 45 percent concurred that the world would be better off without advertising in its current form, whereas 23 percent believed that the ad industry promotes an image of life that is in line with what they wanted for themselves.
