Container freight rates from Shanghai to Los Angeles oscillated dramatically between January 2023 and May 2024. On the 30th May 2024, freight rates between the two cities reached its peak at over 5,300 U.S dollars. This constitutes a significant increase compared to just 6 months prior, when freight rates reached an all-time low of just over 1,600 U.S dollars on June 22nd 2023.
