In Portugal, as of 2022, unskilled workers composed the most representative group of women who chose to have a voluntary interruption of pregnancy, at a share of more than 21 percent. Women working in administration or services followed, with 18 percent as share. Students composed 16 percent of the women who opted for an abortion in the country.
