As of April 2023, the men's course record for the London Marathon was held by Kenya's Eliud Kipchoge, who broke the record with a time of 2:02:37 in 2019. Meanwhile, Paula Radcliffe has held the women's course record since 2003, with a time of 2:15:25. Marcel Hug, who also holds the course records in the New York and Boston marathons, set the fastest men's wheelchair time of 1:26:27 in 2021.
