According to a 2023 survey by Rakuten Insight on inflation in Indonesia, about 66 percent of respondents stated that they avoided or lowered the frequency of doing leisure activities due to inflation. Meanwhile, around half of the survey participants indicated that they bought cheaper groceries and sought out deals such as coupons and discounted items.
