The average price of electricity imported to France skyrocketed to almost 308 euros per megawatt-hour in 2022, more than the double than in the previous year. Electricity imports to France peaked in 2022, as a consequence of the reduced nuclear power production. In France, monthly electricity price kept rising in 2021 and 2022 because of the worldwide energy crisis, but decreased from 2023.
