Beer drinkers are here defined by individuals who consumed beer at least once in the year under consideration. This statistic displays the share of individuals who consumed beer at least once over the entire population in Italy in 2023, divided by region. According to the data, the penetration rate of beer was 56.4 percent for Abruzzo, 55.9 percent for Aosta Valley and 55.6 percent for Molise. Basilicata had the lowest penetration rate of beer consumers with 45.8 percent.
